Terms &
Conditions
Thank you for choosing Dogs Rock Ltd. Please carefully read through our Terms and Conditions.
By booking an appointment with us, you are agreeing to our policy below.
Deposit
The deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. You can reschedule your appointment once with at least 48 hours notice. Failure to attend your appointment or to reschedule your appointment more than once will result in the deposit being lost. Another deposit will need to be paid prior to securing another appointment.
Prices
The prices at Dogs Rock Ltd are based on the coat type, the size of the pet, their coat condition, and the frequency of their grooms and their temperament. You understand the price given on booking is a quote based on the service and size you have advised. You understand the price may increase/decrease upon seeing your pet due to each pet being individual. A final price will be given on collection and may increase if your pet is bigger than expected, is matted, has fleas or misbehaves. Similarly, the price may decrease if your pet is smaller than expected or takes less time than originally allocated.
Aggressive Pets
Dogs Rock Ltd reserves the right to refuse any aggressive pet for the safety of both the groomer and the client. On occasion, a muzzle may be used where appropriate. However the service may be stopped or refused if the pet becomes too stressed. In line with the Dangerous Dogs Act, the owner of the dog should understand that they will be held liable for all bites/injuries caused by their dog. If a groom is terminated prior to commencing due to behaviour either prior to the groom or part way through, full payment is still required.
You agree that you have truthfully informed Dogs Rock Ltd if your pet has ever bitten another animal or human, or if they are aggressive during grooming in particular. You agree and understand that you will be held solely responsible for any injury, harm or damage to property caused by your pet.
Missed, Cancelled or Late Appointments
Dogs Rock Ltd operates a strict policy on missed appointments and you understand that if you need to cancel or change an appointment, you will notify the salon no less than 48 hours before the booked appointment day. If insufficient notice is given, you agree to pay a 100% missed appointment fee. If appointments are missed on a regular basis, pre-payment in full will be required before your appointment can be secured.
Clients that are more than 15 minutes late for their appointment will be considered as a missed appointment and will have to rebook. They will forfeit their deposit and the appointment will need to be paid for in full. Please make sure you let us know if you are going to be late, so that we can assess whether or not we will still have time to groom your pet.
Collection
A collection time will be arranged upon dropping off your pet. This must be followed as we have limited holding areas. If you know you are going to be late for collection, please call immediately to let us know so we can make necessary changes. Whilst Dogs Rock Ltd does allow reasonable leeway for traffic and unforeseen circumstances, pets left longer than 20 minutes after their collection time will incur a boarding fee of £10 per 10 minutes.
Matted pets
In conjunction with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, Dogs Rock Dog Spa will spend no longer than 10 minutes de-matting your pet. If your pet is excessively matted or knotty, your pet will be clipped short for their welfare. We will not consult you on this. By leaving your pet with us you agree to these terms. We will always take photos of matting to show you should you wish to see.
Excessive matting will incur a minimum charge of £10 due to additional wear on our equipment. Dogs Rock Ltd will not be held responsible for any conditions or health problems discovered when shaving your pet.
Matted fur can cut off the air flow to your pets skin and trap in moisture, causing irritation and sores. In some cases (especially on ears and tails), blood circulation can be cut off, causing pain, discomfort and often hematomas. You allow Dogs Rock Dog Spa to clip my pet short if needed due to severe matting. You understand Dogs Rock Dog Spa will NOT put your pet through the pain of dematting due to neglect. You understand the risks involved with a matted coat.
Fleas
You understand there will be an added fee of £20 if your pet is found to have fleas during their appointment to cover the cost of our flea shampoo and treating our salon. You understand that for extreme cases, where the next appointment has to be cancelled, a £75 charge will be added instead. You agree to inform Dogs Rock Ltd if your pet knowingly has fleas so the appointment schedule can be updated.
Photos
You consent for your pets photo to be taken by Dogs Rock Ltd for potential advertising on their website and printed materials. These will be used by Dogs Rock Ltd only. Please let us know in writing if you do not wish for a photo to be taken and used.
Veterinary Treatment
We always do everything we can to make sure that your pets time in the salon is as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, occasionally grooming can expose a previously hidden medical issue, or aggravate a current one. This can happen during or after a groom. Should Dogs Rock Ltd determine that urgent veterinary care is required (through no fault of the salon), you agree to pay all associated fees involved. If your pets usual vet is not available, you authorise Dogs Rock Ltd to use its chosen vet. Dogs Rock Ltd will not be held liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, clipping or brushing procedures, or problems uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irritations from excessive scratching or rubbing.
Teeth Cleaning
A consultation is booked before any teeth cleaning can commence.
This method of dental cleaning is highly effective in removing tartar, improving gum health, breath odour and overall oral health, Dogs Rock Ltd cannot guarantee the results, effectiveness or suitability for individual pets due to varying external factors.
If dogs become distressed or we discover anything likely to cause discomfort to your pet, we will discontinue immediately and inform you. The best approach to solve this will then be discussed with you.
If we feel any teeth are loose or at risk of becoming loose when the tartar comes off we may request you get your pets’ teeth checked at your veterinarian before treatment. It is possible that the tartar build up will be too great and then a veterinary dental may be necessary initially and then follow up ultrasonic maintenance visits with us.
Dogs Rock Ltd cannot be held responsible for any problems occurring from poor dental health before, during or after any ultrasonic treatments.
Dogs Rock Ltd ultrasonic treatment is not a veterinary procedure and Dogs Rock Ltd cannot diagnose any problems with your dogs mouth. Please have any advisories checked by your veterinarian.
I understand that the effectiveness of the ultrasound teeth cleaning is based on frequency and that optimum oral health might only be achieved by keeping to the frequency recommended by Dogs Rock Ltd.
Complaints
Should you be unhappy with the groom your pet has received please let us know within 24 hours of the initial groom. This allows us the opportunity to offer any remedial work that you feel is necessary.
By booking with us, you hereby confirm that you understand and agree to all points stated above.
