Puppy Intros
Getting a puppy is a wonderful time and you want to shower them with love and attention.
Here, at Dogs Rocks Ltd, we can help with that.
The first 6 months of a puppy’s life is a crucial part to their learning of the world, and they experience ‘fear periods’ during this time. With so many new environments to explore and experiences to gain, this period is perfect for acclimatising your new puppy to grooming. This is an experience they will likely need on a regular basis for life, and we want it to be an experience they look forward to and enjoy.
Our puppy intros are led by the puppies, we allow them to show us their limits and work with them to gain their trust and confidence.
Initially we look to give a bath and blow dry. We have 4 different drying methods in our salon, from high velocity dryers to a drying cabinet and even the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer found in many homes. Whatever your puppy prefers; we will use to make them comfortable.
A hygiene trim, a pad trim and nail trim are also aimed for on the 1st session.
These intros give them a chance to experience all the new sounds, smells and actions of a grooming salon without flooding them.
With both of our groomers trained in canine behaviour, you can rest assured that we won’t push your puppy past their limit, which is why we don’t offer any puppy packages. Each puppy is unique and we tailor the experience to them.
Depending on how your puppy responds, we’ll give a recommendation on the next steps for them.
